Chippy grinned and smoothed her hands over the cool metal of the ship. The paint was rough and flaking under her gloves, but Kat mentioned touching it up after the next raid of the Southern Planetary Grid’s settlements. A firm hand on her shoulder told her Chii was back, and, knowing that this may be the last scrimmage the three faced together, she steeled her eyes and held her grin.
